Hogwarts Legacy It is the most media release of the month, and probably of the year. Although the official launch is on Friday, February 10, its early access began on Tuesday, and it has already broken records on Twitch.
Hogwarts Legacy has been released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The PS4 and Xbox One versions will be out in April, and the Switch version in July… although Avalanche Software still has some work to do with patches and updates to the game, particularly on PC.
Hogwarts Legacy PC gamers are generally not very happy with the first few hours of the game. The optimization leaves much to be desired and there are performance issues, with abysmal FPS drops, especially in cinematics.

Hogwarts Legacy problems on PC
Usually, almost all PC gamers affected by Hogwarts Legacy performance comment that the problems only occur after the introduction of the game, when they arrive at Hogwarts.
A user interviewed by HobbyConsolas with a computer comparable to the recommended requirements, which has a processor Ryzen 260016GB RAM and a graphic The RTX 3060 isclaims that the game was running at High/Ultra with DLSS in quality mode and around 45/60 fps in the intro of the game.
But upon arriving at the school, and going through the house-choosing ceremony, frames per second dropped drastically. The solution was to do a performance test that analyzed the computer to put the recommended graphics settings, which meant lower all settings to mediumwithout RTX and with DLSS in performance mode.
And even then, it almost never reached 60 fps. The strangest thing was that even lowering the fps cap to 30, the game still fell below it, between 23 and 29 frames per second.
There are a few ways to make performance better. One of the most straightforward solutions was turn off Vsync (Vertical Sync) which significantly reduces slowdowns, but not enough to “fix” the game.
Another option is drivers Intelwhich has been the first to release official game drivers that can improve performance.
Fans who have teams that could theoretically allow them to move the game to ultra lament that these issues make the game almost unplayable. This is the case with many other people, such as TheLuckyFoxwhich says that “you can’t enjoy it” or TheTitan saying that “inside Hogwarts or Hogsmeade” is horrible.
Since the official release is on February 10, many are expecting a day 1 patch to fix those issues…although many players are upset with a PC version that didn’t seem like Avalanche Software’s priorityand which has meant that PC gamers may not have taken advantage of the early access days.
