In the Magical World of Hogwarts Legacy you can come across dozens of chests, bags and other places where you will obtain a multitude of pieces of equipment to improve the statistics of your wizard or witch. The bad thing is that each piece that you get will go directly to the inventory and it has somewhat limited ability.
It would be nice to be able to do magic and get the pockets to get bigger, but in order to expand inventory It is necessary to comply with a series of steps that we are going to tell you in the following guide.
How to expand inventory to hold more pieces of gear
When your inventory is full, the game itself will be the one that will tell you that you have to break any of the items, sell them in a store or pass the Trials of Merlin to get more space. The latter is a series of challenges that you will find scattered throughout the open world, so you will have to search for and complete them.
However, you will not have access to these tests from the first minute, since you first have to advance in the main story for a few hours until they give you the mission “The girl from Ouagadougou” in which you will meet Nora Treadwell, an explorer who is hell-bent on uncovering the mystery surrounding the Trials of Merlin. In fact, it will be she who will give you all the instructions to solve the first one.
In this particular case, it consists of locating three pillars that are in the surroundings and using fire on them to burn them quickly before they go out. In the case of doing it correctly, a sequence will appear indicating that the test has been successfully passed, something that you can check in the Challenges menu in the Exploration tab.
From that moment you will have to locate the rest of the Trials of Merlin that will be distributed everywhere with different objectives to carry out. In some cases you will have to locate some round stones that you will have to place on some platforms with action or also others that consist of using lumos with some moths that you have to drive to some stones so that they light them up.
These are just a few examples of what you will come across during your trip. So, when you complete a certain amount, you will have to access the previously indicated part of the menu and claim the rewards, which will increase your inventory by four slots, until you get a total of 20 additional spaces.
For the rest, another important detail to take into account is that you will need hollyhock leaves to start the Trials of Merlin. Luckily they can be bought at Hogsmade or you can also make them at Hogwarts in your Room of Requirement.
