Hogwarts Legacy registered a huge peak of users on Steam before its official debut, as 489,139 players were able to enjoy it in early access thanks to its Deluxe Edition. Now that it’s officially available, that figure has skyrocketed and Hogwarts Legacy has broken major records on the Valve platform.
The title based on Harry Potter is already part of the select list of titles with player peaks that exceed the barrier of 500,000 users on Steam. This achievement is mostly achieved by multiplayer games, but there are some exceptions like ELDEN RING, Cyberpunk 2077 and now Hogwarts Legacy.

Hogwarts Legacy is one of the most popular games on Steam right now.
As of this writing, Hogwarts Legacy has just recorded its all-time player peak with 778,300 users, so it’s very close to hitting the 800,000 player barrier on its way to one million. This places it in the second position of the most played titles on the platform at the moment, only behind the invincible Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
The Harry Potter title is so popular that it surpasses Apex Legends both in active players and in its peak number of users for the last 6 months. There are currently more people playing Hogwarts Legacy on Steam than there are popular titles like DOTA 2 and PUBG.
Of course, it’s unlikely to break the maximum peaks of games like PUBG, whose all-time mark is 3,257,248. In the single-player arena, Hogwarts Legacy still trails the peaks of ELDEN RING and Cyberpunk 2077, which recorded 953,426 and 1,054,388, respectively.
