PURWOKERTO.SUARA.COM – The news of the transfer of the Argentine and PSG superstar Lionel Messi to return to Barcelona in the near future does not seem likely to happen.
This was revealed by Jorge Messi, Lionel Messi’s father, who responded to news about his son’s rumored return to La Pulga, nicknamed Barcelona.
“I don’t think so (returning to Barcelona), the conditions are not right,” said Jorge, quoted by Antara, Friday (17/02/2023).
Messi, who is currently 35, signed for Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2021, after Barcelona were unable to renew his contract due to LaLiga’s financial fair play rules.

“We didn’t even talk to (Barcelona) president Joan Laporta and there hasn’t been a proposal from Barcelona, not that it’s impossible but Messi is now contracted to Paris Saint-Germain,” continued Jorge.
Messi’s contract with PSG will end in the summer of 2023. Messi and the French club are in the process of negotiating to extend his contract.
“Life changes a lot,” said Jorge Messi, when asked if he would like to see his son play for Barcelona again.
To note, Messi joined Barcelona at the age of 13 and became a club legend after winning 35 trophies with the Catalan club.
La Pulga successfully scored a record of 672 goals in 778 matches in all competitions with El Barca. ***
