Due to the abuse case involving his son, the wealth of the Director General of Taxes, Rafael Alun Trisambodo, continues to be in the spotlight. Most recently, former KPK investigator Novel Baswedan poked fun at the KPK’s attitude, which was considered to have responded slowly to the inappropriate report on Rafael’s wealth.
The revelation of the persecution case involving Mario Dandy Satriyo also exposed his family’s disgrace. How could it not be, his father’s background, namely Rafale Alun Trisambodo, turned out to be an official at the Directorate General of Taxes who had assets that were unreasonable for an echelon III level employee like him.
Worse than not paying taxes, Rafael also did not include a number of his assets in the LHKPN which is mandatory for state apparatus as stated in Law Number 30 of 2002 concerning the Corruption Eradication Commission.
Because of this, former KPK investigator Novel Baswedan then criticized the KPK’s attitude which it considered unresponsive to seeing incidents like this.

“Efforts to prevent corruption carried out by the KPK are; reporting gratuities; improving the system as well as; LHKPN reporting mechanism. All three must work if the LHKPN directorate only receives reports and does not carry out inspections, it is useless. Do you understand the leadership of the KPK?” he tweeted in response to Rafael Alun Trisambodo’s assets, which have not all been reported.
Meanwhile, in the midst of the hectic news about him, Rafael Alun Trisambodo after being removed from his position suddenly resigned as ASN.
The resignation was contained in an open letter to the public which was signed on a stamp duty.
In response, ICW asked the Ministry of Finance not to approve the resignation.
“Resignation requires approval. The Ministry of Finance should refuse because it is in the process of being examined, moreover there are findings from PPATK which were submitted to the KPK regarding suspicious transactions by Rafael,” explained the Coordinator of the Division of Public Services and Bureaucratic Reform of ICW Almas Sjafrina.
