Hellboy announces new movie despite latest disaster. A report from Discussing Film revealed that Millennium Media is ready to give an adaptation of Mike Mignola’s franchise another shot. The last film was released in 2019 and starred David Harbor and Milla Jovovich. As of today, it sits at an abysmal 17% on Rotten Tomatoes. It was an absolute failure.
What can we expect from this new movie?
Discussing Film’s sources claim that the working title of the live action movie is Hellboy: The Crooked Man. It is not known if that will be the final title of the film or if it will adapt the three-issue story of the same name, which debuted in April 2011.
The miniseries takes place in 1956 West Virginia, where Hellboy meets a man named Tom, someone who, when he was younger, sold his soul to a forest demon called the Crooked Man. The two team up to face the demon in the dark heart of Appalachia.

It looks like this new blockbuster in the Hellboy franchise has been a long time in the making, with shooting scheduled to start in April in Bulgaria. The casting process will begin in the coming weeks.so fans should receive more information about the project as soon as possible.
Brian Taylor will direct the new Hellboy movie. His previous credits include Crank (2006), Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and the SyFy series Happy! As for the writing, original character creator Mike Mignola and horror author Christopher Golden will receive credits. It is unknown if they will directly contribute to the final script.
