We knew it for its household appliances, but Haier had already made previous attempts to enter the television segment in our country. We saw it when we reviewed its 2018 UH55H7000 model, but the gamble is now much more noticeable.
The electronics firm has presented the new Haier S8 and P8 families and above all an ambitious Haier S9 family who come to Spain with the challenge of competing with the big players in a hyper-competitive market.
Haier’s idea is to conquer homes through televisions. This was indicated by Xavier Rofes, director of the firm, who explained that these products are “the central element of home entertainment.”
To achieve this, it has two well-differentiated families. The aforementioned Haier S8 and P8 make use of panels with HQLED technology. The S8 series models also have six 30 W speakers to accompany you in the field of sound.
For its part, the S9 Series is Haier’s most ambitious: it makes use of OLED panels supporting 120fps playback with MEMCa technology capable of compensating images so that we do not lose sharpness in fast camera movements.
Another of the key components of these televisions is the Android TV platform that governs them and that also gives access to voice control through Google Assistant. Both the Haier S9 and the S8 and P8 have support for Dolby Audio sound and, as expected, both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
The firm has not yet offered neither the price nor the specifications of these new ranges of televisions, which will be available in different sizes. In the coming weeks all the details and price of the Haier S8, P8 and S9 will be revealed.
