The VF-23, without anyone expecting it. The Haas F1 team this morning published the first photo of the single-seater with which the American team will take part in the 2023 Formula 1 season.
In a tweet that appeared this morning, the team directed by Guenther Steiner published the first photo of the new single-seater, a few days after the presentation of the new livery and, above all, of the new title sponsor MoneyGram.
A side photo, in which the front and rear suspensions are well covered by the targeted positioning of the two riders precisely in the direction of the arms that connect and support the car and the 4 wheels.
However, the first changes compared to the progenitor are evident. The VF-23 has a shorter and more tapered muzzle. Even bellies change, and not a little. The air intake of the bellies follows the one already seen in the Ferrari F1-75.
The upper design of the sides is also very similar to the 2022 Reds, with a flare and the gills that take up most of the length of the sides. In this case, however, the bellies seem to be narrower than those of the former cars of Leclerc and Sainz.

It is also interesting to see how the bonnet and the extreme part of the rear end do not take up the concept seen recently on the Alfa Romeo C43. No Red Bull-Alpine school: the lines follow the internal packaging and, at least for now, there are no ducts designed to take advantage of the beam wing.
In a second photo, however published by Nico Hulkenberg, it is possible to see how the airscope has remained triangular, but with more pronounced peaks and further narrower than the one used last season.
In the Haas F1 photo the car is portrayed together with the team, the main drivers and team principal Guenther Steiner. The Vf-23 should do the shakedown today, on the British track of Silverstone.
