Tennis player Tallon Grepe has secured a place in the second round at the ABN AMRO Open. The number 2 in the Netherlands defeated Swedish qualifier Mikael Ymer 7-6 (7) 7-5. The game was played on Court 1, the second competition court in Ahoy.
It is the sixth time that he is in the main tournament in Rotterdam forGreekspoor (26). He also managed to get through the opening round in 2018, 2019 and 2022. The number 61 in the world has never passed the second round at the largest tennis tournament in his own country.
In the second round, the Greek track will meet the German Alexander Zverev, who defeated the Korean Kwon Soon-woo 6-4 7-6 (4) in the first round.
Greek track initially planned to skip the Rotterdam tournament because he wanted to prefer a series of clay tournaments in South America. After his tournament win in Pune, India, at the beginning of this year, he decided to change his plans.
