After the various leaks Rockstar she found herself compelled to confirm that Grand Theft Auto 6 is actually under development. Since the announcement was made, speculation and rumors about the game have increased due to a major leak that occurred in September, which showed extensive initial alpha gameplay footage of the new GTA.
IGN talking to the CEO di Take-Two, Strauss Zelnicka company affiliated with Rockstar, touched on this topic by saying that although the leak did not impact the business and development of the game, it was “really frustrating and upsetting” for the people who worked on the title under one aspect “emotional and personal.” Zelnick also added that: “We take leaks really, really seriously and they let us all down, it’s really frustrating and upsetting for the team. However, as far as business is concerned, we are not interested. But as a personal and emotional matter, our teams suffer.”
The leak of the alpha version of the title and the gameplay that leaked were not the only leaks that have plagued Grand Theft Auto 6 and that we have had in recent months. Recent reports have also revealed more details about the game, which it should have a female protagonist or a pair of thieves a la Bonny and Clyde, all set in the magical Vice City. In the meantime we can only tell you that Grand Theft Auto 5 is continuing to sell wildly overtaking the 175 million copies distributed worldwide.
