Gran Turismo 7 was released just under a year ago, and since the day of its release, the development team Polyphony Digital has worked hard in recent months to improve the title.
Despite the various updates, however, it seems that Polyphony Digital has worked in parallel on a new project, namely the new chapter in the iconic automotive-themed franchise branded PlayStation.
The creator of Gran Turismo Kazunori Yamauchiin an interview with Game Watch, revealed that a theme has been chosen for the next Gran Turismo game and that work on the new chapter in the series is already underway. Of course, we don’t know what stage of development the aforementioned project is in and in this sense Yamauchi has specified that “he cannot reveal much”.
Unsurprisingly, work has already begun on the next installment of the Gran Turismo franchise, especially considering the length of time between Gran Turismo 7 and Gran Turismo Sportt. The latter was launched in 2019 while Gran Turismo 7 in 2022. Given such timelines, it’s no surprise that Polyphony Digital is already working on the new chapter of the series.
In any case, 2023 will be quite a big year for the franchise as a version of Gran Turismo 7 will be released for the PlayStation VR2 when the device will be launched the February 22nd. After that, theAugust 11th The film will hit theaters Grand Touring which will feature protagonists Archie Madekwe, David Harbour, Orlando Bloom, Darren Barnett e Djimon Hounsou.
