NEW YORK, 05 FEB – Jazz singer Samara Joy has won the Grammy for best new artist of the year leaving the Maneskin dry. The Roman band was among the ten candidates for the award, one of the most prestigious among those awarded by the Recording Academy. Joy also won another Grammy, for Best Jazz Vocal Album. With three wins even before the gala began and two more during the CBS live broadcast for best RB song and choreography, Beyoncé broke the record for the most Grammys won by an artist: 32, one more than director conductor Georg Solti. Queen B could further break the record tonight, winning another of the three prizes she is still in the running for. (HANDLE).
