Among excerpts from his works, the Mexican singer Natalia Lafourcade she performed the 1976 song “Porque te vas”, by Jeanette, forever associated with Saura’s film “Cría Cuervos”.

“My uncles grow peaches in Alcarràs, but the story is fictitious”, explained the director Carla Simón, who spent her summers in that Catalan town as a child.

“1977 Model”, by Alberto Rodríguezwhich bears the name of what was for many years the great prison of Barcelona (northeast), is based on the history of common prisoners that after the death of the dictator Francisco Franco they demanded an amnesty like the one that benefited political prisoners.
Its two protagonists Javier Gutiérrez and the young Miguel Herrán -known for the television series “La Casa de Papel”- will compete for the award for best leading actor.
