God of War: Ragnarök arrived in November 2022 and immediately became a commercial success that broke internal Sony records. As you can imagine, the adventure of Kratos and Atreus continued to sell and has already shipped more copies than The Last of Us: Part II.
This afternoon, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that God of War: Ragnarök has already sold more than 11 million units sold worldwide. We remind you that the game for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 sold 5.1 million copies in its first 5 days, so it achieved 5.9 million more in the 11 weeks after its release.
“We are incredibly proud that #GodofWarRagnarok has officially sold 11 million copies.
None of this would be possible without the support of our fans, so thank you for joining us on this journey!” Santa Monica said in a message he shared on Twitter.

With the above, God of War: Ragnarök remains the fastest selling PlayStation Studios game. That is, no other Sony game has sold more than 11 million copies in its first 12 weeks on the market.
As if that weren’t enough, God of War: Ragnarök has already outsold some very popular PlayStation Studios games as well. To give you an idea, it has already sold more than The Last of Us: Part II (10 million copies); Horizon Zero Dawn (10 million copies); The Last of Us: Remastered (10 million copies); Ghost of Tsushima (9.73 million copies), according to its most recent official sales figures.
