LONDON, 16 FEB – 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been trained in the United Kingdom since the beginning of the war as part of the program launched last year by the then British prime minister Boris Johnson. According to the London government, another 20,000 are expected to be combat-ready by the end of 2023. The Kingdom has accelerated more than any other Western European country its training programs for Ukrainian personnel since the Russian invasion a year ago : programs already started for some contingents since 2014.
