GameStop is an American chain that offers, among other items, video games and consumer electronics, being considered one of the largest retail franchises in the world. Company that for some time now has been suffering to stay within that denomination, living in recent years a series of poor financial results.
Something that does not seem to improve, since it has been reported that the store has had so few customers lately that many of its popular stores throughout the United States have begun laying off their employees. The situation was commented on by precisely one of these workers, who works as a manager of a GameStop store and who through a video, in which the song played by the musicians is heard while the Titanic sinks in the famous movie.

In the clip, which has more than 6 million views, TikTok Red user @redsonjattv assures that almost no one enters the store where she works, so GameStop, in addition to putting everything on liquidation, began a series of corporate layoffs, which generated comments from several players.
“I just wish it was less of a merchandise store and more of a GAMES store,” commented one of the gamers.
As indicated in the Daily Dot media (via Level Up), who contacted the manager, the woman assures that the situation improved a little during the holiday season at the end of 2022, but that after the Christmas season the store was practically empty, taking advantage of criticizing GameStop since it requires employees to receive pre-sales of games in stores that they know are going to close.
One practice he says is “a bit disgusting of the company,” which has gone in a direction that has “been killing bit by bit over the years,” adding that it loves to sell games “and talk to customers about video games. It’s my passion. However, I refuse to lie to customers” as he believes he “would rather have a happy returning customer than a nickel.”
