FromSoftware is known for having created Dark Souls, Bloodborne or Elden Ring, but before the soulsborne genre capitalized on all the company’s efforts, it had unique sagas like Armored Core o King’s Field.
After many years, Armored Core will return with Armored Core 6, an installment that comes long after the release of the last game. FromSoftware has been talking about this topic in a Bandai Namco interview.

The producer, Yasutaka Ogura, has been asked precisely for this, why has it taken so long to develop Armored Core 6.
The answer is somewhat obvious the success of the souls has made FromSoftware prioritize these proposalsalthough it was always the intention to continue with the saga.
There was never any intention of leaving such a long space, Ogura pointed out. We’ve created a number of titles and have seen a lot of really talented developers grow into their roles. Many of us, including Hidetaka Miyazaki, our CEO and myself, have always wanted to create a new Armored.
There was never any doubt that one day we would return to the series. The only real hurdle that stood between us and developing a new title was that our company has always had so many different titles on the go, and we had to make sure that our resources were distributed properly.
Armored Core 6 will shine thanks to Dark Souls and company
Therefore, it seems that the saga Dark Souls, Elder Ring or games like Shadows Die Twice ax o Bloodborne they were so big that they left little to Armored Core, although that has benefited the game itself, since the experience gained in the last 10 years is gold.
As 10 years have passed between titles, at FromSoftware we had developed so many games from Dark Souls 2 to Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3, Déraciné and of course others like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and most recently Elden Ring, all of which we change.
The experience and knowledge that our game designers and developers accumulated through these titles could be used in this title, the veteran producer of the Japanese company indicated.
Eager to know more about Armored Core 6? for now, The new game in this FromSoftware saga is scheduled to launch this 2023 for PlayStation, Xbox and PC consoles. We have recently been able to learn new details about this, including Miyazaki’s role at FromSoftware with this outstanding project.
