Square Enix just released a new update for The prophesied on Steam. The February 7th patch will weigh 200MB and, from what we can see, it will not bring major changes or improvements to the stock’s performance.
According to the release notes, this patch fixes a crash that can occur when using a specific GPU but that Square Enix has omitted from the notes, so we don’t know for sure which video card the software house is referring to. It is also fixed a problema all’audio of the game causing a strange sound unintentionally. Unfortunately this patch does not add any texture settings to the game and does not improve the quality of ray traced shadows and ambient occlusion effects and neither are the problems of frame pacing of the title.
In any case, we leave you at Forspoken patch 1.03 release notes.
Technical Problems
Fixed an issue where the side button setting cannot be deleted for the 5 button mouse setup. The system text accompanying this update will only appear when the text language is set to English or Japanese. System text for other languages will be implemented in an upcoming update soon. Fixed a crash that can occur when using a specific GPU. Fixed an issue where screen flickering occurs when using certain Intel GPUs. Also fixed an audio issue causing unwanted noise. UI display size has been changed for Steam Deck when resolution is set to 1280 x 800. Various minor fixes.
Graphic Adjustments
Updated the graphics settings to limit the number of NPCs displayed when the model detail level is set to Low. Updated the graphics of some objects that appear on the New York map.
Feature Updates
The system has been updated to accept button inputs from the controller being used even when multiple controllers are connected to the PC. The patch version will be displayed on the game’s title screen. The clickable area for each menu item has been expanded to mouse inputs.
We leave you with our review of Forspoken if you haven’t read it yet and we remind you that the title is available for PS5 e PC via Steam.
