Feyenoord won the away match against Fortuna Sittard 4-2. The team from Rotterdam decided the game in Limburg in the first half, because halfway through it was already 0-3.
Feyenoord took the lead through an own goal from Ximo Navarro, who headed the ball into his own goal. That happened after a corner from Oussama Idrissi, which was headed in by David Hancko. Not much later, Mats Wieffer made it 0-2 with a shot from a distance. It was only his first goal in the Eredivisie.
Shortly before the break, Santiago Giménez made it 0-3 on a pass from Alireza Jahanbakhsh. The goal was preceded by a defensive error by Arianit Ferati.
Fortuna reduced the deficit to two in the 47th minute through a shot from Deroy Duarte, but not much later Igor Paixão made it 1-4. In the final phase, the Greek defender Dimitris Siovas headed in from a corner, but it was no longer exciting.
Feyenoord increased the lead over Ajax to 6 points. Ajax will play against Vitesse at 2.30 pm.
