First divisionist FC Den Bosch says goodbye to trainer Jack de Gier after this season. The contract of 54-year-old De Gier will not be extended, the Brabant club has decided.
“I have enjoyed working at FC Den Bosch for the past two years,” said De Gier. “I have to respect the decision of the club management to continue with a different trainer in the new season. I want to end my period at the club with dignity now.”
De Gier started his football career in Den Bosch and also played for Cambuur and Go Ahead Eagles, among others. He has been head coach at FC Den Bosch since February 1, 2021, which has only won seven of the 23 matches this season.
FC Den Bosch is the number 17 of the Kitchen Champion Division. The club played in the KNVB Cup against Ajax last month and lost 2-0.
