WASHINGTON – Famous Eastern Christian Catholic priest Pastor Hilarion Heagy who was born and raised in California made a commotion throughout the country because of his decision to convert to Islam.
To his followers, Father Hilarion Heagy is known as an American priest who was once a Russian Orthodox monk.
His figure is known to value patience, kindness, and chastity.
After converting to Islam, Hilarion Heagy’s New name was “Said Abdul Latif”.
The former Christian pastor who recently announced plans to establish an Eastern Christian Monastery in California claims his conversion to Islam was actually a “return to Islam”.

He felt “like coming home” after making the surprising announcement.
Around 2003, Pastor Hilarion Heagy converted to the Antiochian Orthodox Church. In 2017, he left to join the Eastern Catholic Church.
He graduated from Holy Resurrection Monastery in St Nazianz, Wisconsin, to become a Byzantine Catholic priest-monk.
It really felt like “coming home” to my first birth belief.
