The Indonesian football public was shocked by the information that two foreign legions of PSIS Semarang, desperately asked to be naturalized so they could defend the Indonesian National Team under Shin Tae Yong’s coaching.
The two PSIS Semarang foreign players who are claimed to want to be naturalized immediately are Carlos Fortes and Taise Marukawa.

Information stating that Carlos Fortes and Taise Marukawa asked PSSI to become naturalized was first shared by the Dapur Bola YouTube channel.
The YouTube channel uploaded a video entitled “Shaybe Patty’s name is legal as an Indonesian citizen! Marukawa and Fortes wanted to naturalize. PSSI must move quickly” on January 12, 2023.
Since being uploaded, the 9-minute 36-second video has been watched by at least 100 thousand people.
However, the title of the content was apparently not in line with the contents of the video. In the video, the narrator actually says Carlos Fortes and Taise Marukawa deserve to be naturalized.
This is because both Carlos Fuentes and Taise Marukawa’s style of play have succeeded in stealing the attention of Indonesian football fans.
In fact, both of them have played well when defending Arema FC in League 1 for the 2021-2022 season.
“Fortes has scored 25 goals. He deserves to be naturalized and defend the Indonesian National Team,” said the narrator in the video.
Furthermore, the video actually discusses that there are 7 foreign players who play in the BRI League 1 and are fit to defend the Indonesian National Team.
Of the total 7 players named, there were 2 who defended PSIS Semarang, namely Carlos Fortes and Taise Marukawa.
To note, PSSI is currently focusing on building the U20 Indonesian National Team. While Carlos Fortes is now 28 years old. Meanwhile, Taise Marukawa is 26 years old.
Not only that, PSSI also has a policy of naturalizing foreign players who have Indonesian blood.
Conclusion
Thus, the claim that the YouTube channel’s video title is a lie or hoax. Because, between the title and the content of the video content that is distributed does not match. Moreover, the title does not match the facts.
