“We advise you to seek further information on this establishment if you are planning a trip”: if you search for the local “dk Oyster” in Mykonos on TripAdvisor, this warning appears, which the portal makes appear in the superimposition following a flurry of negative reviews released from customers.
Many have become angry with the owners for a matter of lack of correctness: the prices indicated on the menus are different from those charged at the till when the receipt is issued.
It so happens that a couple of guys, Jessica Yarnall and Adam Hagaun, ordered two marked mojitos at a cost of 25 euros, but that – once they had consumed them accompanied by portions of food – they found themselves paying a bill of 800 euros, noting that the two cocktails had been billed for 100 euros each.
The two American tourists protested with the staff, who explained to them how the sum of 25 euros was indicated for a smaller portion than what was brought to them.
Out of 1,714 reviews that the restaurant has on TripAdvisor, 1,096 have been classified as “Terrible”, the lowest value.
Among the comments, several customers indignant about the prices and the behavior of the waiters, defined as “pressing” and reluctant to bring the menus before marking the orders.
