SuaraTasikmalaya.id – Even though he received a light sentence and as a Justice Collaborator, this was the big consequence that Richard Eliezier had to accept.
Richard Eliezier has just been sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison in the premeditated murder case of Brigadier Yoshua Hutabarat, which was masterminded by Ferdy Sambo.
Richard’s light verdict was welcomed by his supporters, including the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD.
Mahfud was pleased that the person who started the Sambo case had received a lighter sentence compared to the previous sentence of 12 years in prison.
As quoted from metro. suara.com, 16 February 2023, Mahfud MD appreciated Bharada E’s courage to speak the truth in court. Richard Eliezer uncovered many facts about the death of Brigadier J.
“Eliezer boldly revealed that this was Sambo’s scenario, that this was a murder and not a shoot-out, so I think that if Eliezer didn’t change his statement into a more interesting statement, this case would be closed,” said Mahfud MD.
But now the fate of Richard Eliezer as a member of the National Police is threatened with dismissal.
Richard must accept the biggest consequences of the criminal sentence he received.
Richard was threatened with PTDH or Disrespectful Dismissal as a member of the Police or PNS Polri.
According to a police observer from the Institute for Security and Strategic Studies (ISESS), Bambang Rukminto, Richard Eliezer’s chances of returning to the National Police were closed.
Based on Government Regulation Number 1 of 2003 concerning Dismissal of Police Members. Richard’s opportunity to return to being a member of the National Police and a Civil Servant of the National Police has been closed because he was sentenced to a criminal sentence.
Richard was threatened with PTDH or Dishonorable Dismissal.
Richard, even though he became a Justice Collaborator and received a light sentence, still had to accept the bitterest consequence, namely being dishonorably discharged from the status of a member of the National Police.
“This should be a lesson for all Polri personnel, in conditions not of war, or in the field of security operations so that they are obedient to the rules, not to the orders of their superiors,” said Bambang as reported by suara.com, February 16, 2023.
As is known, Richard Eliezer was only sentenced to a light sentence of 1 year and 6 months in prison. He also invited many parties to support him and even hoped that Richard would be released soon.
If there is no appeal, the man is expected to be free by the end of December 2023.
