LONDON – President Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky gave a speech in front of a packed Westminster Hall during an unannounced visit to English . On that occasion, he gave the helmet of a Ukrainian fighter jet with the words “We have freedom, give us wings to protect it.”
In his historic address to the British Parliament, Zelensky said that victory over Russia would change the world. He also talks about how courage ‘prizes victory’
“We know freedom will win. We know Russia will lose and this will change the world,” he said.
“I appeal to you and the world in simple but most important words: fighter planes for Ukraine, wings for freedom,” he added.

“London has stood with Kiev from day one, from the first seconds and minutes of a full scale war, Great Britain you reached out to help you when the world did not yet understand how to react,” he said as quoted by Metro.co.uk, Thursday (9/2) /2023).
Zelensky used his speech to personally thank former Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
“Boris: You brought others together when it seemed completely impossible. You did not compromise Ukraine and therefore you did not compromise your ideals and thus you did not compromise the spirit of these great islands,” Zelensky said.
Zelensky’s surprise visit to London marks the second time he has left the country since the Russian invasion in February last year.
