The match between Go Ahead Eagles and FC Twente was temporarily halted on Sunday. Referee Ingmar Oostrom decided to do so because of disturbances in the stands.
Supporters of FC Twente threw chairs on the field of stadium De Adelaarshorst. Objects also ended up in the adjacent box with Go Ahead Eagles supporters, who then threw those things back.
Trainer Ron Jans and goalkeeper Lars Unnerstall walked to the section with FC Twente fans to calm them down. Twente conceded two goals early in the game and is 2-0 behind halfway through the first half.
