Yesterday it landed in the catalog of Disney Plus Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, la movie which ends Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universewhile paying tribute to Chadwick Bosemanthe actor who gave life to T’Challa and who passed away in 2020.
The premiere of the film, last November, put, as we say, the end of a Phase 4 of the UCM that has been quite divisive among fans in terms of its different contents.
The end of the Infinity Sagain Avengers Endgame, marked an uncertain end for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which has not finished defining its roadmap with several projects that, so far, seem unconnected.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever connects with the MCU’s past, but also looks to the future by establishing the new Black Panther which will replace the actor deceased.
Where does Black Panther: Wakanda Forever fit into the MCU?
While we knew that the Black Panther sequel takes place after the events of Avengers Endgame, it wasn’t entirely clear at what point in the timeline the Marvel movie took place.
This mystery is solved once and for all with the arrival of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever on Disney+. As many of you know, in the Marvel section, there is a category titled Marvel Cinematic Universe: Chronological Order, where all the movies, series, and specials are arranged in the internal chronological order in which they can be seen.
This is because, although we can see the MCU in release order, we can also follow the events according to their internal chronology, which would put, for example, Captain America: The First Avenger —which takes place in World War II— as the first movie to see.
Well, Black Panther Wakanda Forever is near the bottom of the list, between Moon Knight and She-Hulk: Lawyer She-Hulk. They would be followed by Ms. Marvel, Thor: Love and Thunder, The Curse of the Werewolf and, finally, Guardians of the Galaxy: Happy Holidays Special.
Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe begins shortly with the premiere of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumaniawhere it will be clear that Kang the Conqueror He is the enemy to beat in the future marvelita.
