Against all odds, the Dead Space remake lived up to expectations and revived the space horror franchise that, for many years, was thought to be dead. The future is uncertain and it is a mystery if Electronic Arts plans to launch new IP projects, but certainly the EA Motive studio wants to explore this universe further.
We recently told you that Phil Ducharme and Roman Campos-Oriola, developers who participated in the acclaimed remake, expressed their desire to make more games in the franchise. In addition, they commented that they already have some ideas.
Of course, the future of Dead Space depends on the executives of Electronic Arts. While we wait to find out what the next few years hold for Isaac Clarke, the composer behind the remake wants EA to skip the enhanced versions of the second and third installments.

Could Dead Space 4 be a reality?
In statements for the PCGamesN portal, Trevor Gureckis, a musician who gave new life to the soundtrack of the horror video game, comments that it seems reasonable to him that the next title of the IP should be the fourth installment, although he is not aware of the company’s plans. .
“I’m curious to see what EA Motive and Electronic Arts will do. If they just skip (the remakes) and go to Dead Space 4, that would make a lot of sense. You do a great remake and then you move the franchise in the direction of Dead Space 4,” the composer commented.
Trevor Gureckis explains that the remake of the original installment allowed players to remember the franchise, so making a totally original title can be “a lot of fun.”
“People are now on board, right? So since Dead Space is definitely an old game, making a remake makes sense to refresh everyone’s minds. But I think pushing it towards Dead Space 4 would be a lot of fun, ”said the musician in the interview.
Again, the future of the horror series is unknown. It seems that potential sequels, remakes or spin-offs depend on the commercial success of the relaunch of the first title. In the meantime, it seems the developers have already hinted that a Dead Space 2 remake could be EA Motive’s next project. We’ll have to wait to find out.
But tell us, would you like to see a remake? Do you think it’s a good idea to make a fourth installment that expands the story? Let us read you in the comments.
