Dead Space Remake was the second best-selling game in the US during January
NPD Group revealed the list with the best-selling video games in the US during January 2023 and although there was nothing unexpected in the first place since it was in the hands of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, the second place accounted for the success of Dead Space Remake, a delivery that crowns its good results with the recognition of critics and sales in one of the most important markets.

The Last of Us: Part I increases its sales thanks to the HBO series
Among the highlights of the list is the debut of Fire Emblem Engage in fifth position, a great result for a niche game that continues to win fans with each installment. Then seventh place went to the infamous Forspoken, one of the first disappointments of the year.
On the other hand, Mat Piscatella, an analyst at NPD Group, highlighted the rise of The Last of Us: Part I, which was placed in position 11, a movement that is attributed to the success of the HBO series.
The Last of Us: Part I jumped from #36 on the chart in December to #11 in January, helped in part by the debut of The Last of Us HBO Series.
