The police and the labor inspectorate are investigating the circumstances of the accident at the oil refinery Zeeland Refinery. The police speak of a serious accident at work. Zeeland Refinery informs Omroep Zeeland that the victim was working for a subcontractor at the company.
The accident happened around noon during a maintenance stop. Work was immediately halted afterwards. The identity of the victim has not been released as the next of kin have yet to be notified.
