Lawyer and former professional football player Keje Molenaar has filed a complaint against FC Volendam SB member Elma de Koekkoek. Molenaar says he feels damaged by statements by De Koekkoek, who would have called him “not honest”. Molenaar had already announced – in a letter sent to the Supervisory Board and the Board – that he would file a report, De Telegraaf reports.
“I therefore hold you liable for the damage already suffered and to be suffered by me and will have a report filed against you with the police for defamation and slander tomorrow,” he wrote in response to De Koekkoek’s statements. “In addition, I hereby let you know that your smear campaign and that of the supervisory board has been ‘successful’ now that I have decided to withdraw completely in the interest of FC Volendam.”
The former player of FC Volendam, Ajax, Feyenoord and Orange says he is no longer available as vice-chairman and to withdraw completely from FC Volendam as long as this supervisory board is there. The board led by chairman Jan Smit had nominated Molenaar as vice-chairman, but the nomination was refused by the supervisory board.
De Koekkoek told the newspaper that it was not shocked by Molenaar’s letter.
