Actor David Dastmalchian, who has played Kurt Goreshter in the Ant-Man movies, is now another Marvel Studios character.
It has already been released Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and what stands out the most is that they spend a lot of time in the Quantum Realm, so the fun secondary ones from the other installments don’t appear. So we were left without seeing characters from Marvel as Paxton (Bobby Cannavale) Maggie Lang (Judy Greer), Luis (Michael Pena), Kurt (David Dastmalchian) y Dave (T.I.).
At least, David Dastmalchian has been able to repeat, and that he has lent his voice to Webone of the members of the group that intends to defeat Kang (Jonathan Majors), which can produce a viscous liquid that once ingested, visitors to the Quantum Realm can understand the inhabitants of the place. The actor has revealed to Collider, what he felt when he was able to play this character.
“It’s been such a happy time for me in my career because I’ve never gotten to bring a character like Veb to life. I never got to be a part of an experience like that sitting in a theater and knowing that I was there on set wearing a motion capture suit, finding this body and this physicality and this voice, but I had never seen anything. It’s not like I had to look in the mirror and see Veb when we were shooting. So literally one of the happiest experiences of my life.”
“Honestly, it’s a confluence of circumstances where I was in a dark place, I had been on an incredibly physically and emotionally demanding shoot, I was separated from my family due to COVID stuff, and we had some illnesses in my family. My father was dying.” he revealed David Dastmalchian.
The actor also described how the filming went.
“So I go, I put on this weird gray jumpsuit with little dots, I’ve never done this before, and I started this process of Veb’s body and movement and physicality, and feeling what that would be like. I also worked on the voice, and what it would feel like, and then all of a sudden I’m doing scenes with Paul Rudd and Kathryn Newton, and all the rest of the Defenders of Liberty who were amazing, Katy and William Jackson Harper and everyone else. . It just felt like magic.” he concluded David Dastmalchian.
