“I am incredibly grateful. I’m gratefull. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to direct this show the first time and so many times after that. And in particular, episode nine, it was a really amazing script and getting to bring it to life was a lot of fun. Obviously, it wasn’t without its challenges, as is always the case with television. You have great ideas, but only a lot of time and money to make these dreams come true. I’m very lucky that that was the episode that I got to direct and do it with all these different people, Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, Keiynan Lonsdale and Sendhil Ramamurthy. It was a pleasure working with them. I love directing and I love working with actors. I’m gratefull. That’s what it really comes down to.”

Danielle Panabaker continued:
“And in this one in particular, I think the crew laughs at me sometimes, because as someone who’s been here since the beginning, I remember most of the scripts and the locations. I will say, one of the things that I think has been a strength of our program is, for the most part, everyone is trying to do the best they can. Everyone is doing the best they can with, again, the constraints of time and money and so on of a TV show. But everyone is really trying to do the best they can, and that’s a special energy and it brings a special magic to the show. I, in particular with episode nine, wanted to pay homage to Arrow and those characters and those relationships and the fight sequence that they did. I wanted to do throwbacks to all of those, so I hope it really hits.”
