PURWOKERTO.SUARA.COM – Today the Surabaya District Court begins hearing the Kanjuruhan Tragedy case that occurred in early October 2022.
Taking place in the Cakra Room at the Surabaya District Court, Thursday (02/02/2023) two members of the National Police who were questioned as witnesses in the follow-up trial of the Kanjuruhan Tragedy gave different statements from the Minutes of Examination (BAP).
Quoted by Antara, Iptu Bambang Sulistiyono Head of Intelligence and Security Unit of the Malang Police and Nur Adnan, a member of the Malang Police Bag ops with the rank of non-commissioned officer, admitted that they were tired when questioned by investigators, so they wanted to annul their testimony today.
They are among the 60 witnesses from members of the National Police who were summoned by the Public Prosecutor (JPU), ranging from key officials (PJU) to members of Mobile Brigade today to testify at the Surabaya District Court (PN).

In his testimony today, Bambang was reprimanded several times by the prosecutor because his testimony differed from the BAP. Because when examined by investigators, Bambang described the official who was responsible when the tragedy occurred.
Not only that, this official also controlled all personnel in the match between Arema FC and Persebaya Surabaya, namely the Head of Ops for the Malang Police as Karendal Ops.
However, that statement was changed today. According to him, each controlling officer (padal) is responsible for himself. Including himself serving as closed security guard (pamtup) stands 1-14.
Meanwhile in his testimony today, Bambang was reprimanded several times by the prosecutor because his statement differed from the BAP.
Because when examined by investigators, Bambang explained that the official who was responsible for and controlled all personnel in the Arema FC vs Persebaya Surabaya match was the Head of Ops for the Malang Police as Karendal Ops.

However, that statement was changed today. According to him, each controlling officer (padal) is responsible for himself. Including himself who served as closed guard (Pamtup) stands 1-14.
Bambang immediately answered his statement changed.
“Changed. So it’s each padal who is responsible. The structure is solid, supervisor, karendalops, vice president, chief of staff,” Bambang answered.
He admitted that he had signed the East Java Police investigation report. However, he did not have time to read all of his answers again when checked.
“I signed, but didn’t read everything. Because his condition was checked left and right and conditioned the area so that there would be no turmoil in the area,” he added.
During the interrogation, Bambang, as Head of Intellectual Intelligence, also explained that he was tasked with making a situation estimate (kirka) which was used as a reference for the security plan (renpam).
Even though there was an almost similar tragedy in 2018, namely Arema FC’s home match against Persib Bandung which resulted in 200 spectators fainting after shots of tear gas, this consideration was not included in the kirka.
In fact, Bambang also never explained in the coordination meeting or gave suggestions to the Police Chief about not using tear gas.
“Technically, it’s not up to me. I’m just preparing to need help from the ranks on the side and so on,” he added.
Likewise Nur Adnan, who gave a different statement from the BAP regarding knowing the minutes of the results of the coordination meeting on September 15 and September 28, 2022.
In answer number 13 point 2 which was conveyed by Iptu Bambang Sulistiyono, it was exactly the same as what he read. It is as follows.
“I do not know what was conveyed in the coordination meeting because I did not participate. However, based on the minutes contained in the results of the September 15 coordination meeting, and the report on the results of the September 28 match security readiness meeting, I can explain the delivery of the coordination meeting participants as follows. Does that mean you know the minutes exist?” asked the prosecutor.
In contrast to when Adnan was interrogated by investigators, who claimed to know and read the minutes of the questions submitted by the coordination meeting participants, today, he annulled his own answers.
“I’m not allowed to join the meeting. I only listened to my friends talking about the minutes,” he said.
He also admitted that he signed the BAP without re-reading it because he was exhausted.
“No, I’m tired (tired) once,” he added.
As a result of this statement, the prosecutor plans to summon investigators to be examined as witnesses. ***
