Rumors recently started circulating that Nintendo would raise the price of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom from $59.99 USD to $69.99 USD so that it would cost the same as AAA’s from PlayStation Studios and Xbox Game Studios. After the February Nintendo Direct, Nintendo confirmed that this news is real.
After the Nintendo Direct in February, Nintendo opened The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for pre-orders on the eShop. There it was confirmed that the game will be sold in exchange for $69.99 USD, thus being the most expensive exclusive that Nintendo has released for Nintendo Switch.
Shortly after, several stores in the United States began to open the pre-sale of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. In all of them the new exclusive for Nintendo Switch is offered in exchange for $69.99 USD. In this way, it is the price that the new installment of Zelda will have both in physical and digital format.
For its part, it was also confirmed that the collector’s edition of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will cost $129.99 USD.
