PERUGIA, 22 FEB – Confirmation of the life sentence for Innocent Oseghale was requested by the Prosecutor General of Perugia, coordinated by Sergio Sottani, in the context of the bis appeal process underway before the Court of Assizes of Appeal of the Umbrian capital . Oseghale has already been sentenced to life imprisonment for having killed and dismembered the young Pamela Mastropietro in January 2018 in Macerata. The bis trial underway in Perugia concerns only sexual violence. “Oseghale killed Pamela if she were here I would tell him: you killed her, you are a murderer. He necessarily starts from here ”underlined the deputy prosecutor of the Republic of Perugia Paolo Barlucchi. According to which “there was sexual violence in that house and during that sexual violence Pamela was killed”. “Pamela was not a prostitute,” Barlucchi said again. “There is a truth in her life – he added – which is psychic suffering, suffering in family relationships, the suffering that heroin addiction gives you. No moral judgment on Pamela but understanding, affection and a cold and lucid assessment of what the cards and the facts say. Pamela used her body because she didn’t know what else to do, she was alone, she was hungry, she ran away in the morning, she was at an extreme, she didn’t know where to go, she was in heroin withdrawal”. For the deputy attorney general “there are a number of elements that tell us that Pamela was totally in Oseghale’s hands, that he could do with him what he wanted and that he demanded unprotected sexual intercourse”. “I have no doubts – concluded the deputy attorney general – that there was sexual violence and that there was an opposition from Pamela who did not imagine meeting a brutal murder”.
