JAKARTA – Military power Turki certainly can not be underestimated. In addition to its status as a member NATO they have competent soldiers backed by weapons military qualified.
Most recently, Turkey is known to be at odds with Sweden. After previously failing to give his blessing to Stockholm wanting to join NATO, the tension was exacerbated after the burning of a copy of the Koran in front of the Turkish Embassy in that country.

1. Shoe Power Index
In the Global Fire Power 2023 data, Turkey has a power index of 0.2016 (perfect score: 0.0000) and occupies the 11th position out of 145 countries that also receive the ranking.
Meanwhile, Sweden has a Power Index of 0.5679 and is ranked 37th out of 145 countries.
2. Number of Personnel
Turkey is estimated to have a population of over 83 million. In their military, they are recorded as having 425,000 active personnel, 200,000 reserve personnel, and 150,000 paramilitary troops.
As for Sweden, with a population of around 10.48 million, they have 16,000 active personnel and 22,000 paramilitary troops.
3. Ground Combat Equipment
In the land combat equipment sector, Turkey has 2,229 tanks, 112,476 armored vehicles, 1,038 self-propelled artillery, 2,107 towed artillery, and 516 mobile rocket projectors.
Turning to the Swedish side, based on Global Fire Power 2023 data they have 121 tanks, 14,088 armored vehicles, and 48 self-propelled artillery.
