With the debut, as a substitute, of Noni Madueke, Chelsea could not beat Fulham in the Premier League on Friday. The London derby ended 0-0. Chelsea, which spent several hundred million euros on new players in the last transfer period, remains in the middle bracket for the time being.
Madueke, the English talent who was taken over from PSV during the winter period, came on immediately after the break.
Enzo Fernández, the Argentinian who was taken over from Benfica for a record amount this week, was already in the starting line-up at Chelsea. That also applied to Hakim Ziyech, the former Ajax player who caused a furore with Morocco at the World Cup in Qatar at the end of last year. Ziyech saw a loan transfer to PSG fail last week.
At Fulham, Kenny Tete, also a former Ajax player, was in the starting line-up.
