The Boston Celtics basketball players have booked their 40th win of the season in the NBA. The Celtics defeated the Charlotte Hornets in their own TD Garden 127-116.
Jayson Tatum and Derrick White combined for 74 points. Tatum accounted for 41, White 33. On the side of the Hornets, Terry Rozier was the top scorer of the evening with 27 points. For Tatum it was already his eighth game of the season in which he scored at least 40 points.
The Celtics scored 75 points on three-pointers. Of the 55 attempts, 25 were hit. “The shots felt good today. I was getting some space on a regular basis and just let them fly,” said White. Teammate Tatum (24) became the first player in the NBA with more than a thousand three-pointers before his 25th birthday.
Boston Celtics is the only team with forty victories. On the other hand, there are sixteen losses and with a winning percentage of 71.6, the Celtics lead the Eastern Conference.
Greek Giannis Antetokounmpo led his Milwaukee Bucks team to their tenth consecutive NBA victory. The Bucks beat the LA Clippers 119-106 in Los Angeles. The 28-year-old Giannis was good for 35 points against the Clippers.
It was the Bucks, the number 2 in the east, the first win streak of ten since the 2019-2020 season.
