Brendan Fraser is one of the hottest actors thanks to his triumphant return to the big screen with The Whale, the movie that, perhaps, will be worth the Oscar for Best Actor in a few weeks.
The actor was already beginning to see glimpses of his return thanks to series like Doom Patrol, where he gave voice to Cliff Steelealias Robotman. He was also going to return as the villain of the Batgirl movie, firefly.
Of course, Batgirl became the tip of the controversial iceberg when it was canceled in the middle of post-production. Doom Patrol also saw its run come to a sudden end as part of Warner’s wave of HBO Max cancellations.
Despite the fact that Brendan Fraser regrets both cancellations, the actor would not close the door on returning to work with DC in the future, whether it was in a movie or a series.
Will we see Brendan Fraser again in a DC project?
Variety had the chance to chat a little with Brendan Fraser and the opportunity arose to ask him about a possible future that includes DC among his films.
The actor did not rule out the possibility of returning to work in a movie or series based on DC comics, but admits that it depends on the type of role.

“Maybe. It all depends on the type of paper. I mean, a job is not easy to do, no matter who is producing it.
I just finished Doom Patrol, which is also owned by DC. It’s a unique cast and premise and I loved that Riley Shanahan was the one who wore the whole outfit. I only did the vocals, I could do my work in my underpants and no one would know because I was in a recording studio. So it was the best job of my life. In any case, I’m open to it.”
For now, the future of Brendan Fraser leads to the Oscar delivery ceremony, on March 13, where the actor you can receive your statuette and consecrate your return to Hollywood heaven after many difficult years.
