Brazilian striker Gabriel Martinelli has extended his contract with Arsenal. The 21-year-old winger was stuck in London until the summer of 2024 and a few years have now been added. The leader of the English football league did not disclose how long Martinelli has signed, only that it is a “long-term” commitment.
The Brazil international is in his fourth season at Arsenal. Martinelli has a starting place in coach Mikel Arteta’s team and is one of the top scorers in the selection with seven goals.
Arsenal leads the Premier League and is 5 points ahead of defending champions Manchester City, who played a game more. The ‘Gunners’ will take on Everton on Saturday.
Martinelli participated with Brazil in the World Cup in Qatar at the end of last year. The ‘Seleção’ was eliminated in the quarterfinals.
