The federation has announced the Under 20 coach as a buffer solution pending the arrival of a big player
Waiting for the high-sounding name, forty days from the next official match, Brazil has chosen an interim coach. We are talking about Ramon Menezes, former coach of the Under 20 with whom he won the South American Sub-20 a few days ago, a very heartfelt success that had been missing since 2011. The announcement came together with that of the friendly test in Tangier against Morocco of March 25, the only one of the break because, as the Brazilian Football Federation itself explained, “the period will be divided between the preparation of the athletes and the match against Morocco. Therefore, the CBF has opted to play only one match but of high competitive level”.
Ancelotti in the background

The federation, therefore, takes time, probably until the end of the season. In fact, the goal is to entrust the national team to a high profile and in this sense the most considered is Carlo Ancelotti, currently on the Real Madrid bench. Meanwhile Ednaldo Rodrigues, president of the CBF, thus commented on the provisional appointment of Menezes and the decision to face Morocco: “This is the beginning of a new cycle for Brazilian football. And the Federation is committed to the national team that will field against a strong opponent, such as Morocco, who reached the semi-finals of the World Cup in Qatar last year. It will be a good test for the Brazilian men’s selection and certainly a match that will arouse the interest of our fans”.
