Selebtek.suara.com – The case of the death of a University of Indonesia (UI) student, M Hasya Attalah Syaputra (18), due to a traffic accident is now starting to be taken seriously. Previously, the case involving a retired police officer, Eko Setio Budi Wahono, did not seem to be being investigated seriously. What is it?
As is well known, M Hasya, who was the victim of a traffic accident, was instead named a suspect by the police on the pretext of negligence in traffic. But now, this case has become serious and is being re-investigated after the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, ordered Polda Metro Jaya to thoroughly investigate the case of the death of the UI student.
Kapolda Metro Jaya Inspector General Fadil Imran heard input from various parties regarding the UI student accident case involving the retired police officer.
“And also of course on orders and directions from the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, as the Regional Police Chief I will take the first step to form a team to carry out fact-finding steps,” said Fadil at Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, Monday (30/1/2023) , as quoted detikcom.

In handling this case, the fact finding team (TPF) also involved an external team. A number of transportation experts to legal experts will also be involved to investigate Hasya’s death.
“This team consists of external and internal teams. Externally, we will invite from external supervisors transportation safety experts, legal experts, automotive experts, related to ATPM products. Then journalists too so they can take part in seeing the actual facts deemed necessary to enrich the facts. later,” he said.
Meanwhile, the internal team itself will involve Propam, Bidkum to Irwasda Polda Metro Jaya to seriously investigate this case.
“Internally, there will be Polda Metro Jaya members from Irwasda, Propam, Bidkum, and we have asked Korlantas to use scientific crime investigations,” explained Fadil Imran.
Fadil added that his party targeted the TPF investigation to be carried out as quickly as possible. Later, every TPF finding is expected to fulfill a sense of justice and legal certainty.

For information, the traffic accident occurred on Jl Srengseng Sawah, South Jakarta, on 6 October 2022. The investigation was stopped after Hasya was named a suspect and had died. Then, this case emerged and became the public spotlight until it became the attention of the Chief of Police.
Inspector General Fadil Imran said his party would reconstruct the accident case that killed UI student M Hasya Attalah Syahputra (18).
“We plan to reconstruct by involving all stakeholders with the aim of making the handling more transparent and objective,” said Inspector General Fadil.
