Director James Cameron has revealed the scene that was cut from the end of the movie Avatar 2.
Although it lasts more than 3 hours, there is a scene of Avatar 2 It didn’t make the cut and we couldn’t see it in the movies. The reason is that she did not like anything in the test passes and James Cameron decided to remove it.
Attention SPOILERS. In Avatar 2, the protagonists helped by the Metkayina tribe attack Miles Quaritch and the RDA. But in the middle of that battle, the Metkayina cease to be important and remain absent until the conflict is over.
When James Cameron was asked about this, the director revealed a deleted scene where the Metkayina were reunited with their children at the end of the battle.
“We had that, we filmed it, and we decided that it was a little distracting from the main family of Avatar 2. There are people who are bothered by it and others who don’t even notice it. So it’s one of those things that you never get a perfect score on a movie. And you certainly will never get a perfect score from 100% of people.”
“Look, that’s just a small window into the creative process. We had that, the other parents were there, we took them into account and we felt like we needed to narrow the focus, and maybe it wasn’t a big decision. But that was the decision we made at the time.”
It must be recognized that all the decisions they have made with Avatar 2 they have been a success. Since it has become the third highest grossing film of all time. Since it has raised more than 2,248 million worldwide and is only surpassed by Avengers: Endgame (2019) and the first film of Avatar which premiered in 2009 and can be seen at Disney Plus with this link. In addition, in the coming years the third (2024), fourth (2026) and fifth installment (2028) of this space saga will hit theaters.
