Atomic Heart of Mundfish It’s almost ready to launch in a little over a week, and quite a bit of gameplay has been shown. The FPS action title promises a lot and each new gameplay shown in its open world will dispel the hype. Seeming to be a massive game, many are wondering how it will perform on the technical side, and new details have emerged about it, specifically for the current-gen console versions of the game.
In a recent interview with Wccftech, Mundfish founder and Atomic Heart director Robert Bagratuni recently confirmed that on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, there will be no ray tracing support at launch. Whether that means we can eventually expect support to be added in a post-release update remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, Bagratuni also reiterated that Atomic Heart will only have a single graphics preset on current-gen consoles, running at dynamic 4K resolution and 60 FPS, with “some” parts of the game also running at native 4K. The Xbox Series S version, meanwhile, will run at 1080p and 60 FPS.
At the moment, there have been no concrete details on what resolution and frame rate the game will aim for on PS4 and Xbox One, but Bagratuni has previously said that players can expect “amazing” optimization on next-gen consoles.
Atomic Heart launches on February 21 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We recently reported that the game will be available via Game Pass.
