WASHINGTON, JAN 31 – Three Haitian-Americans and a Colombian national have been accused in the United States of being involved in the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse of Haiti in 2021: the US Department of Justice has announced. The indictment, more than 18 months after the events, exposed a vast conspiracy to kill the Haitian leader and seize power, backed by an unnamed former Haitian Supreme Court judge, Colombian mercenaries, and backed by a clandestine expedition of weapons from the United States.
