Suara.com – General Chairperson of the Indonesian People’s Wave Party (Gelora) Anis Matta stated that currently there is no official presidential candidate (candidate) that actually has full and solid support from the party or coalition of bearers.
In fact, he said the coalition formed at this time could disband in the middle of the road.
“There is no solid coalition yet and the presidential candidate has full support. It is possible that all these situations will dissolve. And I believe that the format of the current coalition, which is likely to be formed, will still undergo major changes in the coming months. So, everyone completely uncertain,” he said through a statement quoted on Monday (27/2/2023).
Previously, he considered, the current coalition was feared to deepen polarization in society and threaten the integrity of the Indonesian nation. Because of that, Anis Matta proposed the idea of the Reconciliation Coalition as a step so that the president elected in 2024 can consolidate all national leaders.

“Partai Gelora wants to offer the concept of a new coalition format, unlike the current one. I call this coalition the format of the Reconciliation Coalition,” he said.
A large consolidation of Indonesian leaders ranging from political, economic, military, social, religious, informal to academics and thinkers was carried out to unite Indonesia’s new direction in the future.
“The first step for Indonesian leaders is that the next president must be able to consolidate all the elite components of the national political, military, economic elite, social leaders, religious leaders, informal leaders, academics and thinkers. All of this must be consolidated in a new direction or a new historical chapter for Indonesia,” he said.
It is clear that the Coalition for Reconciliation, Anis, will again voice the spirit of unity, unity and integrity of the nation and society.
When compared to the current conditions, Anis said, there is a polarization that could lead to a deepening in society which of course would threaten the integrity of the nation.

“I proposed the idea of the format of the Reconciliation Coalition, because the current coalition format actually deepens the existing polarization in society and threatens our integrity as a nation. This is the time for us to encourage a spirit of unity by initiating the idea of the Reconciliation Coalition,” he said.
He revealed that to make Indonesia a new superpower, leaders who understand Indonesia’s new one-way narrative are needed. This, he explained, was as stated in the book Third Wave which was published in 2013.
“I have already written about this in my book The Third Wave, which I wrote in 2013. I said in the book, Indonesia will experience three waves. The first wave will become Indonesia, the second wave will become a modern and strong nation and state. And the third wave is becoming one of the leading powers of the world,” he said.
