Jorge Mendoza Sánchez, General Director of the National Bank of Works and Services (Banobras)affirmed this Tuesday that in the last four years the bank has established itself as the fifth largest banking institution in the Mexican financial system.
In the morning conference of the President Andres Manuel Lopez Obradorwho led the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the bank’s foundation, Jorge Mendoza Sánchez explained that he managed to increase the loan portfolio in this six-year term and that 486 billion pesos have been disbursed in credit to the most important priority projects.
“During the last four years, we have managed to increase the size of the bank in terms of the loan portfolio by 26% and This allows us to consolidate as the fifth largest bank in the Mexican financial system,” Indian.
In the National Palace, Jorge Mendoza Sánchez said that Banobras provides more resources to the Government of Mexico for priority works in the states.

Earlier, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador assured that Banobras has been an important institution for the development of Mexico.
