Sumatran voice – The chairman of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, had a one-on-one meeting with the Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka. The meeting took place at the Loji Gandrung Official House, Solo, Central Java (Central Java) on Monday (6/2/2023).
When asked about discussions about politics, Airlangga did not deny this. However, Airlangga was reluctant to detail the contents of the conversation.
“His name is from a political figure, so he definitely talks politics,” Airlangga said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday (7/2/2023).
Regarding the possibility that Gibran will advance in the gubernatorial election, Airlangga admitted that this was one of the topics being discussed. However, further discussion is needed.

“The potential is always there, especially as a regional government. We talk about all of this in due time,” he said.
Airlangga ensured that there would be further discussions between the two regarding politics, including Kaesang Pangarep’s plan to enter politics.
“Of course it must be respected (Kaesang’s wish, red). Communication will continue, he already has a party,” he said.
Meanwhile, Gibran acknowledged that there were political talks with Airlangga Hartarto. but answered clearly regarding the contents of the conversation, including regarding the 2024 Pilkada.
“A little bit (discussing the 2024 Pilkada, ed). Later, yes, this one was a secret,” he explained.

Just like when he met Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, Gibran also asked Airlangga’s opinion on political issues.
“Mr. Coordinating Minister, Mr. Defense Minister, all of them are my mentors. I asked everyone their opinion, evaluate my work here,” he said.
