Incredible moment a huge lightning bolt strikes a 125-foot tall statue of Jesus Christ the Redeemer in Brazil.
Lightning struck the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue in Brazil over the weekend, leaving social media users stunned after the lightning was caught on film.
The 125-foot statue, located in Brazil’s Rio De Janeiro, is visited by nearly two million people every year, and, oddly enough, this is the third time in 15 years it has suffered such an attack.
Still an extremely rare occurrence, lightning struck Jesus’ head on February 10, 2023, flashing a flash of light that is now seen by millions around the world.
Several people managed to take photos of the phenomenon, with photographer Fernando Braga taking pictures and video footage of the lightning strike as it happened.
Now circulating online, the jaw-dropping medium has captivated audiences, being viewed more than 20 million times.
